the value of the attribute "align" or an empty string if that attribute isn't defined

isEmptyXmlTagExpanded

protected boolean isEmptyXmlTagExpanded()

Indicates if a node without children should be written in expanded form as XML (i.e. with closing tag rather than with "/>")
